  • Data released that India’s Trade Deficit decreased to 10 billion dollar in August 2013.

  • Reports revealed that the industrial production of India has been increased of 2.6 percent in July, 2013.
  • The Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Agni-V has been successfully test-fired from Wheeler Island, Odisha.
  • The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) increased the Repo rate by 25 basis points to 7.50 percent.
  • India will build a 4000 MW solar project which is the world’s largest in Rajasthan.
  • The Supreme Court said that Andhar card is voluntary but not mandatory.
  • RBI has instructed all the banks and merchant establishments to stop offering zero percent interest EMI schemes for the purchase of consumer goods.
